Peanuts Cholesterol Free Food

Peanuts are high in Vitamin E, high in Folic Acid and important B Vitamins. It is a good source of fiber and the essential minerals Magnesium, Copper, and Phosphorous.
The peanut is a special nut; in fact it isn’t a nut at all. It’s a legume, related to the pea and bean (so it doesn’t grow on trees like other nuts) - it grows under ground like a potato. One of the other names for peanut is "groundnut." Those with food allergies should be very cautious regarding the consumption of peanuts. Not everyone can consume peanuts safely.
Peanuts have a tremendous amount of good things going for them. Inside their crazy shaped shells are one, two, and occasionally three peanuts. My preference if for U.S. Grade Fancy Premium Peanuts. Once selected, these superior peanuts are roasted to bring out their natural flavor. And since no artificial flavors or other ingredients have been added, nothing gets in the way of the great peanut taste. Peanuts are naturally cholesterol-free.
I recommend nuts that are roasted because we had a salmonella break-out in almonds a couple of years ago. Being in a shell of their own also keeps the contamination down. Roasted-No Salt peanuts are dense and ½ cup contains 190 calories. One hundred and thirty of the calories are from fat. The total fat for a serving size of one-half cup consists of 13grams total fat and 2.5 grams of saturated fat and no Trans Fat.
Ten percent of the serving is fiber. Phosphorous 15%, Vitamin E 25%, Magnesium 15% and Folic Acid 35%. The number of peanuts in a serving amounts to 32 nuts. These percentages are based on 2,000 a calorie diet. We were able to find a quality product with a net weight of 48 ounces or 3 pound for $3.99. Fancy In Shell Peanuts are an excellent snack - keeping your metabolism working and providing important nutritional minerals.
Of course, like any food, peanuts should be eaten in moderation. Today we bought frozen strawberries, blueberries and mixed fruit ($1.35/lb.) We talked to many food shoppers and they ended up buying the same. Broccoli, large navel oranges and gala apples, along with fresh green beans and cabbage were also in abundant supply.
It’s that time of year for a hearty Cornbeef and Cabbage Soup. Choose your food carefully and never compromise quality for price. Our red seedless grapes were imported from Chile and were sweet and delicious. Onions, red potatoes, and garlic were also in our cart with sea salt and cayenne pepper. The chicken thighs were only 89 cents a pound and can be used for chick cacciatore, soup or grilled on the patio. People are getting into the mood for healthier foods as they recognize a pandemic of type II diabetes and by-pass surgery. Sticky blood is the problem. Use skim milk and stay away from soft cheese if you want a smooth running engine for your body. Alzheimer’s, macular degeneration and stroke coupled with the ever-rising cancer problems are prevalent in the United States and practically non-existent in countries like India. Fried foods, processed food, sodium, hydrogenated vegetable oils and high sugar content and high fructose corn syrup are just a few of the problems. Stop smoking now and keep your alcohol intake to about 4 ounces of red wine. You’re proud of your car - now work on living healthier, happier lives by choosing wisely what you eat. Eat well, laugh and love a lot and keep stress to a minimum. Many of the diseases we experience can be triggered by stress. Choose a lifestyle that suits you and exercise with friendly people. Life can be experienced like a good recipe produces the best results. We will not cure all these diseases soon, but we can fortify our bodies to produce the best defense for longevity.
